I would like to take a moment of your time to introduce you to the Goo Finder tool. What this site does is collect all moon siphon kill mails that show signs of moon goo. It compiles these over time with the end goal to show all traces of moon goo. Specifically, high end moon goo. As time goes on the site will contain more and more information on said moon goo. For now, it shows what systems contain what minerals if a moon siphon has been killed containing the moon mineral. Here it is:
Simply select which region you are interested in and it will list the results. The site is in its infancy stage right now, but plans are in the works to improve it over time. But for now, it does work.
This of course opens up some new meta. Have an enemy with a nice moon and you want to put them on the map? Drop a siphon on their tower and after one cycle, blow it up with at least one unit left in the siphon. BOOM! Now everyone knows that system contains that mineral on one of the moons. As time goes on, and my skills train, I plan on specifically locating every high end (R64) moon location and updating the result page to include the exact high end moon locations in the flagged system.
As I said, the site is still rough and over time it will become more intuitive and pretty. Please leave me comments/feedback. I just want to give a shout out to the person helping me create this site. Said person has opted to withhold their name for now due to obvious reasons. Revealing moon minerals to the public has a history of nice and not so nice results.
